Jamie finished packing the saddle bags with everything she would need. She needed to be along for a few days. She wasn't able to get any peace. She tightend Ruby's girth and mounted her. The pony was calm and didn't do anything. She was hoping she would be able to find shelter. She wasn't able to put up a tent on her own. She had told her mum she was just going for a quick ride on the short trail behind the stable. The trail she was going on would lead up to the mountains. She knew she would have to cross a river and she hoped Ruby could handle that. No one seemed to leave her alone. Her sisters said she was no fun anymore. She had changed. She trotted and cantered along the trail for at least three hours. It was a good thing both horse and rider were fit. They came to the rived. It was wide, but not real deep. She trotted Ruby into it then turned her so she was trotting along it next to the trail. If she wanted to be alone and didn't want anyone to find her, she wasn't about to leave any more tracks. She had heard stories and was doing what the thives did when they stole horses in these areas.

Nicole cantered Feature trough the tral. She was a bit off course. She liked it that way. She hated to stick to rules. And hated to stick to tracks.
She spotted a figure on a small pony. Stopping beside them she looked down and recognised her as Jamie. "Hey." She said smiling.

As the horse came beside her Jamie kicked Ruby into a gallop. She didn't want to talk to anyone. She wanted to be alone, to think about everything. She stopped paying attencion to where she was going. The dust rose as Ruby's hooves hit the ground.

Nicole kicked on Feature, so as she was in close persuit of Jamie. She was just far enough behind so as not to spook the pony. "Jamie!!" she yelled.

The pony was fast but had short legs. Being small she could go places horses couldn't. Jamie lent on her neck and darted into the trees. The brances whipped above her head. Ruby was having fun and didn't want to stop.

Nicole jumped off her horse. It had been trained well, and was like a dog, it would stay where it was. She started to run after Jamie. The brances hit her face and body, and she felt bruised. She was a very fast runner.

There was a sudden drop and the trail turned sharkply upwards. Ruby wasn't ready for it. She spooked and reared. Her fearful whinny echoing around. Jamie screamed as she fell backwards and hit the ground. Her arm hit a rock causing a sharp pain. She hit her head which knocked her out. Ruby bolted back the way she had come bucking.

Nicole spotted the young child falling. Next thing she knew, there was a small pony coming bucking towards her.
She stood to the side and let the horse pass. She would catch it later...She ran to the aid of the child. "Jamie??"

Jamie's eye were closed and her mouth slightly open. Her golden hair, slightly curly, lay still around her shoulders. Her chest only slightly moving.

About 15 minutes later a four wheel drive pulled up and Paige jumped out. She ran over to the young girl and kneeled down beside her. She checked her over for any injuries and then picked her up. She spoke to Nicole. Do you want to come back to the stables? She asked while laying Jamie in the back seat.
